Posted by: | CommentsI want to start fishing but have no friends that are in to it so haven’t really got anyone to talk to. I want to start off with the small stuff, my ambition being to end up chartering my own boat to like-minded individuals who’ll pay to go deep-sea fishing.
So what do I need to get started in fishing? My budget is about £100 for equipment, if this is any good- is buying second hand an option? What do I need? I will be fishing in the local river (a hotspot) as there isn’t really anywhere else where I live.
As my ultimate aim is to get in to sea fishing, is it wise to start on a river- or should I begin by fishing off of the beach? Are they two distinct disciplines with few interchangeable skills?

PS, anyone with experience of charter boats, your advice is more than welcome! Is it a good life?

Posted by: | CommentsSo this person used to go to my school died 2 weeks ago in a canoe accident. I started reading stuff on facebook about them, and they seemed like such a nice, sweet person. it was someone that everybody liked. in fact, this person saved animals and was nice to everybody, even people he hated. anyways, so the story was they were on a canoe and it tipped, on of the guys swam to shore, and this guy started swimming to shore, but he turned around and went back to save his friend who couldn’t swim. he died trying to save his friend. i didnt even know this kid, but for some reason, i dont even know why i cant get over the fact that he died. it makes me so sad. he just graduated high school, he had his whole life ahead of him. its been two weeks and even the people that knew him, are over it. what is wrong with me? and how do i get over it? i feel so depressed, it bothers me that i’m like this.
